Get the best in under vehicle protection with Trail Armor's full skid plate set for the 2020 - 2022, 2024 Honda Talon 1000X-4, 2020 - 2024 Talon 1000S-4 Fox Live Valve, 2023 Talon 1000XS-4, Talon 1000XS-4 Fox Live Valve, 2023 - 2024 Talon 1000R-4 Fox Live Valve Edition.  Made from Super Tough polymer, these 1/2" skids are lighter than most traditional metal/aluminum skid plates and because they have no "impact memory", they absorb shocks to the bottom of your vehicle without the dents, galling and corrosion of metal/aluminum skids. Trail Armor was the first in the industry to design skids with the formed front leading edges featured on our skid plates. These leading edges protect vulnerable frame edges and wheel wells from blunt edge impacts and act as a starting edge to slide over obstacles without the resistance and drag of metal skid plates. Standard Trail Armor skids for the Honda Talon 1000X-4 are designed with extended side skid plates that help protect the vulnerable side panels of your vehicle. Trimmed Trail Armor skids do not roll up the side of the vehicle so that you can use factory OEM rock sliders. See pictures in gallery. Compare Trail Armor's skid set coverage with other skid manufacturer's like items - side skid plates are either sold separately or the bottom skid coverage ends at the factory mounting holes for OEM skids, leaving this part of your vehicle completely unprotected. Trail Armor's skid plates come in easy to install panels that cover the full length and breadth of the vehicle, including the front and rear differential. Access holes to service points and oil drains make maintenance a breeze. Strategically placed drain holes allow dirt and debris to wash out - you don't have to remove them to clean out the belly your vehicle. However, if needed, individual panels may be removed to access different areas without removing the entire skid plate. Recessed mounting holes protect fasteners from damaging blows and keeping all bolt heads from protruding the skid's surface. All kits come with corrosion resistant hardware and photo-documented installation instructions. Great protection and peace of mind

Just installed the Trail Armor standard skid plate on my 2021 Honda Talon 1000x4. Fit was very good. Only had 2 holes that did not line up. Could have been a Honda error? Just had to shave the washer cup a little to make it fit. Far better protection than my beat up stock skid plate. This now compliments the A arms that were previously installed and already tested.

almost perfect

the product arrived packaged well. the product itsself seems very solid and well thought out. i was surprised at how easily the material scratched and grooved. ill be interested to see how it holds up to rubbing on rocks. it is super impact absorbent though. id give it 5 stars but one hole in the metal bracket for the rock sliders on both sides of the machine does not match up to the factory hole. i think it was the fourth one back if i remember correctly. it seems to be off by about half an inch on both sides. i just skipped it to be honest and it still seems plenty strong.

2022 Honda Talon 4 seater. Best mod by far.

This should be standard equipment on any Sxs. I just use my bike for rock crawling and the factory plate is just cosmetic. After the first ride it was destroyed. It sucked taking the factory one off so do this modification prior to any abuse and you’ll thank me later. I installed the new one and it’s super easy. Well worth every penny. I abused the heck out of it this past week and other than a few scratches it is perfect. I highly recommend this product.
